Getting started
How to post an ad
Posting is free and takes a couple of minutes. This page covers the steps, then the things that actually decide whether your ad sells.
Replace with a real screenshot of the posting form.
The steps
Writing a title that gets clicks
Your title is what people see in search results. Include the specifics a buyer would type.
Brand, model, year, key spec, and location. Skip the capital letters and rows of exclamation marks — they do not help, and they make a listing look like spam.
Photos
Photos matter more than anything else you write.
- Use daylight. Avoid flash.
- Take several angles, including any damage — buyers trust a listing that shows a scratch far more than one that hides it.
- Put the clearest photo first. It becomes your thumbnail.
- Do not use catalogue or stock images. Buyers assume you do not have the item.
- Clean the item first. It takes two minutes and changes the price.
Description
Answer the questions you would otherwise get asked ten times:
- How old is it, and how much has it been used?
- What condition is it in, honestly?
- What is included — charger, box, spare parts, service history?
- Why are you selling?
- Where can it be collected from, and is delivery possible?
Write in plain sentences. A short honest description outperforms a long promotional one.
Pricing
Search Seller.ae for similar items before you decide. Price near the middle of comparable listings unless yours is genuinely better or worse. Round numbers invite negotiation; if your price is firm, say so.
Getting more responses
- Reply quickly. Most buyers contact several sellers and buy from whoever answers first.
- Keep it live. Renew the listing if it goes stale.
- Consider a premium listing in a busy category, so your ad sits above standard results.
- One item, one listing. Posting the same thing several times gets all copies removed.
